In our High School Electives area, Northeast Christian Academy has what we refer to as Fine Arts. This is an opportunity for students to participate in several areas of State and National Competition in several different areas such as: various Bible categories, numerous divisions of Music, Speech and Oratory, Drama, and different facets of Art. Students may participate in several categories and have an opportunity to compete in these categories of competition at the local, state, and possibly national level. The State and National competitions are conducted through the American Association of Christian Schools and have very high standards. Students may participate in individual as well as group categories. Our goal at Northeast Christian Academy is that all students enter into competition areas of their choosing and areas where they may excel. State Competitions are normally conducted annually in March of each year. We compete with schools in the New Mexico and Arizona State Associations because of our geographical local. Fine Arts classes are conducted all year and also include classroom instruction in music and drama. Students are provided opportunities to perform at various local functions throughout the year to showcase their talents. Various civic clubs, nursing homes, and even political events are several of the events and opportunities available to our school. Local performances are good avenues of practice as well as a way to allow our students to contribute back to our local community. Fine Arts groups also perform at various school functions throughout the school year.
