Northeast Christian Academy offers Dual Credit Classes online classes through El Paso Community College for Junior and Senior students who are enrolled as full time students at Northeast Christian Academy. The classes are conducted online through El Paso Community College and are therefore acceptable for High School credit and College level credit as well. It is feasible that a student enrolling in Dual Credit Classes beginning their Junior Year could complete two years of college level credit and an Associates Degree during these two years in High School. Each student must have their own laptop computer while enrolled in Dual Credit classes at Northeast Christian Academy. The school provides an internet connection and a fully qualified teacher facilitates the classes and coordinates between Northeast Christian Academy and El Paso Community College. The teacher also provides assistance to the Dual Credit students as they are instructed by the college facilitators.
The tuition price for the 11th – 12th grade students already includes Dual Credit; therefore, the only additional funds required are possibly for a laptop computer and the text books required by El Paso Community College for each class. Every student seeking enrollment in the Dual Credit Program is required to take a Dual Credit Placement Test at El Paso Community College. This is completed through coordination by Northeast Christian Academy and El Paso Community College. Students must achieve a satisfactory score prior to placement in Dual Credit classes. Every student registering for class must accomplish this prior to registration for any Dual Credit class. Each semester has a cutoff date that is posted well in advance; therefore, students must register early in order to complete the program requirements in time. This is an outstanding program and a great opportunity for students to get college credit while still in High School. For questions regarding this Dual Credit Program please call the school at 915-755-1155 or stop by the school office for information.
